Special Guest - Studying "The Diary of Anne Frank"

Loysha and Rita C's grandfather talked to the eighth graders about his life growing up in Nazi Germany.  He was a member of the Hitler Youth, received the Iron Cross and was captured and sent to an American prisoner of war camp.

He told the students that it was Hitler's effective propaganda that created hatred.  When asked if it could happen again, he told them that it is still happening in the world and that they must fight it by being educated. :)
